Prayers for Full Moon Ceromony

Father Heaven, Mother Moon, Friend Earth I am a part of you.
I appreciate that you let me stay here.

I am here as expression of love and joy.
I humbly swear that I will share love with people.

Please bring peace, hope and joy to this world through me as your tool.
I live as a person who is kind to the familiar people.

I live as a person who loves unknown people.
Please guide me so.

May this world be filled with a lot of love and light.
May people be happy with big smile

May all the children always be safe and happy.
Father Heaven, Mother Moon, Friend Earth I pray from my heart.
Aho Blessed One, Aho

Sweet Darkness

When your eyes are tired
the world is tired also.

When your vision has gone
no part of the world can find you.

Time to go into the dark
where the nigh

At has eyes
to recognize its own.

There you can be sure
you are not beyond love

The dark will be your womb tonight.

The night will give you a horizon further than you can see.

You must learn one thing. The world was made to be free in.

Give up all the other worlds except the one to which you belong.

Sometimes it takes darkness and the sweet confinement of your aloneness to learn that

anything or anyone that does not bring you alive you have made too small for you.

Let Go

How often do we carry judgement and anger which in reallity even if justified, only hurts us and often over time brings illness to our body, not only mentally or emotionally, but many illnesses of the body caused due to holding this energy.

FIRST STEP OF WISDOM: Acceptance without judgement 'nor rancor AND with out needing to know why! Work to embed this into who you are over the next few years and I'll give you number Two. Step One is the difficult one, rest a breaze if you ask me!
To let go is not to judge,
but to allow another to be a human being.
To let go is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes,
but to allow others to affect their destinies.
To let go is not to be protective,
it's to permit another to face reality.
To let go is not to deny,
but to accept.
To let go is not to nag, scold or argue,
but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.
To let go is not to adjust everything to my desires,
but to take each day as it comes and cherish myself in it.
To let go is not to criticize or regulate anybody,
but to try to become what I dream I can be.

Pray for For Friends and Enemies - Why?

Pray for your friends, but by all means, pray for your enemies. And don't pray that they'll change; pray that you might change-- from an accusatory mind to a loving one.

Prayer ~ Oh Great Spirit

O Great Spirit,

Whose voice I hear in the winds,
and whose breath gives life to all the world,

hear me! I am small and weak,

I need your strength and wisdom.

Let me walk in Beauty, and make my eyes
ever behold the red and purple sunset.

Make my hands respect the things you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice.

Make me wise so that I may understand the things you have taught my people.

Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock.

I seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy- myself.

Make me always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes.

So when life fades, as the fading sunset, my spirit may come to you without shame.

From the Highest Mountain I Could See

Then I was standing on the highest mountain of them all, and round about beneath me was the whole hoop of the world. And while I stood there I saw more than I can tell and I understood more than I saw; for I was seeing in a sacred manner the shapes of all things in the spirit, and the shape of all shapes as they must live together like one being. And I saw that the sacred hoop of my people was one of many hoops that made one circle, wide as daylight and as starlight, and in the center grew one mighty flowering tree to shelter all the children of one mother and one father. And I saw that it was holy.

Great Mystery

Great Mystery!

In a flash of awakening
I see around me
all the medicine you have sent to me.
What enormous power sits before me as my pipe.
What awesome blessing sits before me as the loving presence of Buffalo.
What incredible help and assistance overflows my altar with the presence of Grandfather Fire Sacred Water Turtle Froggy Rock Nation Angel of Brazil Sage Horsey Eagle Rattles Grandma Emma Red Dog & Sapphire Arrow Bundle Ancestors Pictures Galore!

Thank you Great Mystery for reminding me of the overflowing spiritual abundance all around me, ALL the time.

But there are days, Great Mystery
I forget my Source, entangling myself in illusion and drama Forget to receive and take in the medicine all around me as if I am a starving beggar at my own banquet.

I pray today for peace, to open my heart wide and invite the abundance of medicine in, to feed and nourish my mind, body, and spirit.

Lost ~ David Wagoner

LOST

Stand still. The trees ahead and bushes beside you Are not lost.

Wherever you are is called Here,

And you must treat it as a powerful stranger,

Must ask permission to know it and be known.

The forest breathes. Listen. It answers, I have made this place around you.

If you leave it, you may come back again, saying Here.
No two trees are the same to Raven.

No two branches are the same to Wren.

If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you,

You are surely lost. Stand still.

The forest knows Where you are.

You must let it find you.

We the Children of the World Ask -

Prayers for Peace: 7-4-09

The third graders of Dewey Elementary School in Evanston, IL, wrote the following letter to the adults of the world out of a discussion concerning peace. The class, under the auspices of Ms. Pat Cleveland, used the talking circle as the foundation to learning in her classroom. She held a peace ceremony with her kids which culminated with the planting of a symbolic tree on the school grounds. From that ceremony came the following statement. These words have been sent around the world and read at the United Nations in General Assembly:

WE THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD are asking the adults to listen. We think that you need us to help you find peace in yourselves. If you start from the heart, peace can spread to other adults and it will get bigger. We ask you to forgive and be kind to one another. We are asking you to be respectful and to treat others the way you want to be treated. We want you to try a different way to solve problems. If everybody thought fighting was the only way, then the whole world would be at war. If you don't give peace to others then they won't give it to you.

This is a world we love but we would love it more if all the wars and fighting stopped. We have hope to bring peace to the world. We want our loved ones safe. We want our families safe - no matter where they are.

If we didn't fight, the grass would be greener, the water would be cleaner, and the animals would be healthier. The world would be the best place. We want you to stop cutting down trees and hurting living things.

We are saying "ENOUGH!" We want the land mines, the nukes and suicide bombing to stop. We want the judging people to stop and want to know people by who they are on the inside.

We need to try and understand each other and to learn about each other. We want people to come together and share their hearts. We want the adults to be nice and to make your voices count. We are asking you to help our families get along. We know that peace starts with a thought. You need to let that thought come out. We are telling you that this is important because peace can change your life, our lives, someone else's and even the world.

There is a wonderful world waiting for us. We just need to believe in peace and in ourselves. That's the beginning. We can help each other.
Peace can go on forever. Peace can be so great.

Support of Sacred Land Film Project

Institute’s Sacred Land Film Project produces a variety of media and educational materials — films, videos, DVDs, articles, photographs, school curricula materials and Web site content — to deepen public understanding of sacred places, indigenous cultures and environmental justice. Winnemem Wintu War Dancers
Our mission is to use journalism, organizing and activism to rekindle reverence for land, increase respect for cultural diversity, stimulate dialogue about connections between nature and culture, and protect sacred lands and diverse spiritual practices.

For the last decade we have focused on the production and distribution of the documentary film, In the Light of Reverence. We are currently developing a four-part series on sacred places around the world, entitled Losing Sacred Ground.

Let Us Care for For Each Other with Love!

ONE WORLD PLEASE ~ EVERY LIFE IS A GIFT FROM THE CREATOR!

Let us take care of the children, for they have a long way to go.

Let us take care of the elders, for they have come a long way.

Let us take care of those in-between, for they are doing the work. - African Prayer

Let this be a prayer of us all!
